Although,
I am very busy, but this morning, I managed to open my email to get
an update on RH bill and on the issue of 160 Ateneo De Manila University
Professors who cast their support for the passage of the bill which is contrary
to Church’s ethical and religious teachings.
Then
suddenly, I came across on this report CBCP
warns Catholic schools against pro-RH teaching. I was not surprised on the
report per se but reading the comments below I was totally almost shock. Expressing
hatred of Catholic Church in the most vitriolic language!
But
anyways, this is a favorite time for trying
hard copy-cat Filipino freethinker (Atheist group) to get their long
awaited publicity.
Meet
codename: Lydia de Vega, Filipino Atheist, Pro-RH, anti-Catholic church and
enjoying it. To summarize her arguments, for her Catholic Church is
anti-science and invariably violent.
The Galileo Affair: Catholic Church as
Anti-Science
lydia de vega
Galileo Galilei presenting his discovery |
Galileo Galilei is
Devoted Roman Catholic, more devoted than all the CBCP combined. Galileo wanted
to learn more about God in the deepest level.
So he studied the
Cosmos and SuperNova as Astrophycist and tried to reason with the church about
the physical science of the Heavens.
The Catholic Church decided still to arrest one of their
own for teaching about the Heavens the contradicts the teaching of the Church.
Galileo spent the rest
of his life incarcerated and later buried in Florence, where her eldest daughter
name Sister Maria Celeste a Roman Catholic Nun is also buried. Sister Celeste
is devoted to her dad and her religion.
**NASA built a super
high power telescope name GALILEO in Space that taught us more about Galaxies
and the heavens.
There are so many Astronomers, Physicist, Sugeons that are
Roman Catholic but the Church pushed them away during the dark ages.
..many convert to another religions
or just became FREE THINKERS.
As usual, in 2,000 years of
Catholic Church existence, atheist know more nothing than the Galileo Affair as the only gun they have to point out
that the Church is anti-Science.
By definition, Science is a
systematized body of knowledge. But did you know that this systematic way of
knowing was first introduce not by Atheist who deeply in love with it? FYI it
was introduce by a CATHOLIC BISHOP named Robert Grosseteste, he conceptualized
the so called composition and
resolution and his ideas were
translated into what we know today as Scientific
Method by another CATHOLIC
Franciscan Friar named Roger Bacon: Observation, hypothesis, experimentation and conclusion.
“I render infinite thanks to God for being so kind as to make
me alone the first observer of marvels kept hidden in obscurity for all
previous centuries.” - Galileo
Here comes Galileo Galilei
another CATHOLIC scientist.
The Church did not say that
Heliocentrism (wherein Sun is the center of the Solar System) introduced by Nicolaus
Copernicus of
Poland, a CATHOLIC cleric (of course) was wrong and that Galileo who supported
this was teaching heresy. The Catholic Church rightly pointed out that if the
earth did orbit the sun then there would be a shift in the position of a star
observed from the earth on one side, and then six months later from the other
side of the sun. Unfortunately Galileo was not able to give an answer to this.
(This is a valid scientific objection called Stellar parallax , and it was not answered
until 1838, when Friedrich Bessel succeeded in determining the parallax of star
61 Cygni. [1])
The Church gave Galileo the
following option: Copernicanism might be considered a hypothesis, one even
superior to the Ptolemaic system, until further proof could be adduced. He
refused to accept this. Still, this wasn’t a problem until he tried to make his
argument on theological grounds.
In a letter to Cardinal Dini, who was sympathetic to his position,
Galileo wrote:
To me
the surest and swiftest way to prove that the position of Copernicus is not
contrary to Scripture would be to give a host of proofs…thus, since no two
truths can contradict one another, this and the Bible must be perfectly
harmonious. [Annibale Fantoli,
Galileo: For Copericanism and for the Church Vol. 3, trans. George V. Coyne
S.J. (Italy: Vatican Observatory Publications, 1994) 179]
And another one:
“Holy
Scripture and nature, are both emanations from the divine word: the former
dictated by the Holy Spirit, the latter the observant executrix of God’s
commands.” Thus, “…no truth discovered in Nature could contradict the deep
truth of the Holy Writ.” [Sobel, Dava,
Galileo’s Daughter: A Historical Memoir of Science, Faith, and Love. Toronto: Viking Press, 1999, 63.]
A wise Cardinal Robert
Bellarmine told Galileo that it was perfectly acceptable to maintain
Copernicanism as a working hypothesis, (remember the Scientific Method, right?)
and if there were “real proof” that the earth circles around the sun, “then
we should have to proceed with great circumspection in explaining passages of
Scripture which appear to teach the contrary and
we should rather have to say that we did not understand them than declare an
opinion to be false which is proved to be true”[2]
Instead of heeding a Church’s advice
to stop trying to change the interpretation of the Scripture until he has
proof, Galileo ignored this and continue promoting his own biblical
interpretation to the public.
He faced the tribunal not
because the Catholic Church hates Science but simply because Galileo a
scientist turned out to be a bad
theologian.
Adolf Hitler: Catholic Church as
invariably violent
lydia de vega
Catholic bishops and priests have immunities.
Like a diplomatic immunities, they cannot be arrested.
Remember during World War 2 the Pope tolerated the Nazi's
Adolf Hitler is a Roman Catholic
Hitler poison GAS over
6 million Jews in the gas chamber while they are all naked. Including women and
children
Then: Hitler's Propaganda Now: Atheists' Propaganda |
Oh
my… what happen to Dawkin’s disciple? Have
immunities and they cannot
be arrested? Oh my……. Tsk tsk tsk. Is this the side-effect of reading the
book The God delusion?
Now,
on Adolf Hitler as a Roman Catholic? Really?
Lydia de
vega might referring to one of Hitler’s writing Mein Kampf the most quoted quote use by Atheist to claim that
Hitler was a devout Catholic:
"I
am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the
Jews. I am doing the Lord's work."
Ian
Kershaw a reputable biographer of Adolf Hitler in his two volumes of biography, Hitler 1889-1936: Hubris published in
1998, and Hitler 1936-1945: Nemesis published
in 2000, a widely praised and the most authoritative work on the subject. Once said
that:
[Hitler] was good at attuning
to the sensitivities of his conversation-partner, could be charming, and often
appeared reasonable and accommodating. As always, he was a skilled dissembler.
On a one-to-one basis, he could pull the wool over the eyes of hardened
critics. After a three-hour
meeting with him at the Berghof in early November 1936, the influential
Archbishop of Munich-Freising, Cardinal Faulhaber – a man of sharp acumen, who
had courageously criticized the Nazi attacks on the Church – went away
convinced that Hitler was deeply religious.
During his ascent to power, Hitler needed the support of the theistic
German people both the Bavarian Catholics and the Prussian Lutherans, so he kind of
hoping that the churches would go for his view and to
secure this, he occasionally used rhetoric such as "I am doing the Lord's work." Hitler himself admitted in
Mein Kampf that his public statements
bears no relation to the truth and should understood as propaganda which is
designed to sway the masses. [3] Thus, when
Hitler discovered that the churches were not going to go on his side he turned
against them.
In
the book entitled Hitler’s Table Talk,
a compilation of his private conversation recorded by Martin Bormann, Hitler’s
hostility to Christianity can be seen, he even absorbed the Nietzchean idea of
Christianity as a slave religion (the same view hold by Atheist):
The heaviest blow
that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is
Christianity’s illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The
deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by
Christianity.
Taken to its
logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of failure.
The reason why the
ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two
great scourges: the pox and Christianity. Christianity is a prototype of
Bolshevism: the mobilisation by the Jew of the masses of slaves with the object
of undermining society.
Christianity is an invention of sick brains. - 13 Dec. 1941
So it's not opportune to hurl ourselves now into a struggle with the churches. The best is
to let Christianity die a natural death - 14 Oct. 1941
So,
the truth and the bottom line, calling Hitler a devout Catholic was simply
ridiculous.
Thanks, God I am familiar with both topics: starting with Galileo, he was an egotistic individual as much one can be. To be short but at the same time precise as one can be, so far, science it has not been able to demonstrate that the Earth revolve around the Sun or in its on axis. That assumption is totally erroneous scientifically all the experiments through the last 200 years have been proven negative about the Earth mobility. In fact, the contrary has been tactically proven and barren from the books of natural science, especially Astrophysics. If you want to learn more about this topic regarding the immobility of the Earth with respect to the entire universe, you must read the two books, on this abused issue, of Dr Robert Sungenis, “Galileo was wrong the Church was right,” it is an excellent scholarly work on both, the History of the Church regarding she preeminent position on education, and on science and its treacheries to pervert the true about the real universe of the bible. This scientific work by Dr Robert Sungenis is the best until today, as the best one can get regarding real science of the heavens.
ReplyDeleteAs for Hitler, much has been said about his twisted life and motives for the war against the Soviet Union, controlled by our “elder brothers,” and the very select elite of bankers. It is no secret that Hitler was financed by these bankers, and everything was prepared since the beginning of the war. Suddenly we have a very trilling dilemma: the “Holocaust,” this is the beginning of everything else about what can be saying regarding Hitler’s personality and psychology. From this moment in time, you can venture to say anything to denigrate Hitler, and anything else around him. What bothers me is this fact: they claim six million Jews were sacrificed by Hitler; however, what about the twenty two millions of Christian who die to saved them. I was talking to a Jew regarding the Holocaust, and asking him “what about the millions of Christians, who die to save from being close to extinction according to you?” he replied and says, “Well we don’t really care much about your number because we are taught from elementary school only about the holocaust.” From this explicit Jew mentality, you can denigrate Hitler as much you can, and associate with everything evil, including the Catholic Church, because; it is no secret that this brunch of Jew’s (Zionists, Talmudic) hates the Church. Now, if he was (Hitler) a Catholic, was the problem? In Russia, during the Soviet Era, Zionists, open their centers of religion around the country, it is a known fact, and if you dare to talk about this it will called “hate speech.” However, enough is enough and especially, when these perverts attack the Church of Christ, which it is the Catholic Church; outside of her, there is no salvation. God bless
Thanks. God bless too :)
